Dr Dev Kawol
MBBS MRCGP FRACGP DRCOG DFSRH MSc Diabetes
I am a UK trained GP who moved to Queensland in August 2010. My family joined me in December 2010. I have a 6 year old daughter and she enjoys the lifestyle here. I gathered most of my experience overseas, worked mainly in London and all over UK. My special interests are men’s, women’s and child’s health. I have over one year experience in sexual health and family planning (contraception and IUD insertion like Mirena). When I moved to Australia I added indigenous health and completed a certificate in skin cancer medicine and surgery. Recently I completed my Master’s degree in diabetes and this has helped me improve diabetes care in all of my patients. I like to keep myself up to date with latest evidence based medicine and I do attend a few courses and seminars all year round. My consultation style is quite open and I often give patient choices about their treatment and like interaction.
Dr Snya Chadha
MBBS MS(ENT) FRACGP
I am glad to be amongst the friendly people of Jimboomba; besides enjoying the warmth of the sunshine state. I have seventeen years of work experience before joining this practice. I am here as full-time regular GP, and I am available on most of the weekends too.
I obtained my degree of MBBS from India in 1997 and pursued my career in general practice for five years after that. It was then I realised that majority of presentations in general practice were pertaining to ENT and upper respiratory tract problems. Between 2002 to 2008 I enhanced my ENT skills and did a Master’s degree in ENT, followed by a three years teaching faculty position in the Government Medical College, Amritsar, India. I had the opportunity to work on academic publications, research and thesis work on allergic rhinitis, asthma, snoring, sleep apnoea, hearing loss and tinnitus during this time. From 2008 to 2015 I have been into full-time general practice. My other special interests besides ENT diseases are the issues of Women’s health, Child health, Psychiatry and Skin problems.
I am blessed with a loving family: my husband and two teenage children are always a source of inspiration, support and happiness to me.
